Quickie Maelstrom Post

I figured as everyone else has found something witty and interesting to say after the final event, I'd ruin the trend by starting a post when I know I have nothing interesting to say (I only ever had one major FOIP*, so that's it really). :D

As I fail at any kind of fic type writing (probably not worth trying), the best I can do is answer any questions, not that I'm expecting anyone to have any! XD

Sickness and LARP

No posting as of late due to being immensely busy, however I've had to spend all of today huddled up due to sickness, oh the inconvenience! Thought I'd take the opportunity to post about the last two events I went to.

Apologies for any incoherence, this illness is ridiculous.

But yes. That's what I did on my holidays when I wasn't constantly working. And now I'm going to go back to being ill and hoping against hope that I'll be better tomorrow. :(

So before I make any kind of 'Insurrection is stressing me out because...' post, I should fathom if I'll even BE there or not. Cancellation date is looming and I still have no idea how I'm getting there.

So, have all my LARPing friends seen the new Maelstrom documentary yet? It is all kinds of pretty and win (and could only have been made better if I was in it, fnar!)

Dear lj, life is so hard, hear my whine.

Warning, European* related LARP post. Run for the hills or risk confusion!

Dear lj,

Am super miffed that I can't go to the meet-up with my Odyssey group tomorrow, due to them all being silly Southerners/Midlanders, making getting a lift impossible. Also super miffed that trains are too expensive to justify a return for a 4 hour visit. This is very much putting me off the event, as I had a lot of questions I wanted to ask/things I wanted to discuss with my group so as that I felt I knew what I was doing, and for general psyching up.

World isn't fair lj. ._.

*Once again specifying European, as American LARP seems to have a very bad rep... and I can kinda see why in a lot of cases. XD

Update- Then again, one should never underestimate the powers of Kate Lake.
